John Min-Chih Hsuan
Mr. Hsuan is vice chairman of United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC), a leading semiconductor foundry service provider with revenue of US$3 billion in year 2000. He has played a crucial role in the development of UMC, and has accumulated extensive management, marketing and operational experience during his service in this world-class company in such positions as Co-CEO, President, EVP, VP, and Marketing Director. He is also chairman of the Taipei Electronic Component Suppliers' Association and is considered one of the outstanding experts in the management of high-tech companies in Taiwan.
 
Rock Hsu
Mr. Hsu is the chairman of Kinpo Electronics and Compal Electronics, two renowned electronics conglomerates with aggregate revenue of US$3 billion in year 2000. The business scope of these two groups includes calculators, digital cameras, printers, fax machines, notebooks, displays, and PDAs. He is an influential industry figure, holding the chairmanship of the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT), which includes more than 8,000 members. Mr. Hsu has extensive relationships in the IT industry in the Greater China area and has invested in numerous business ventures.
 
Barry Lam
Mr. Lam founded Quanta Computer in 1988 and has been the pioneer in notebook computer research and development in Taiwan. He is the Chairman and CEO of Quanta Computer, the largest notebook computer manufacturer in the world. Quanta Computer achieved revenue of over US$1.5 billion and manufactured over 4 million units of notebook PCs in year 2001. Mr. Lam's other positions include the chairmanships of Quanta Display, Quanta Storage, and Quanta Network Systems Inc.
 
S. T. Peng
Mr. Peng is a professor of communications engineering at the National Chiao Tung University. His research focus is electromagnetics, microwave, antennas, and other optical components. Mr. Peng is an IEEE Fellow and SPIE Fellow. His former academic positions included Dean of the Communication Engineering Department of the National Chiao Tung University, Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the New York Institute of Technology, Director of the Electromagnetics Lab at the New York Institute of Technology, and Research Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering of Polytechnic University. Mr. Peng has been involved in various national telecommunications projects and advises the Taiwan government on various telecommunications initiatives.
 
Tom Sun
Mr. Sun is the Corporate Vice President of Motorola, Inc. and Chief Representative of Motorla in China. Mr. Sun is also in charge of the Business and Government Relations Development Organization in China as well as regional quality initiatives, including Digital Six Sigma to support the critical DSS projects in Asia Pacific. Mr. Sun has established successful models for various aspects of business operations at Motorola. Under his leadership, METL was recognized as the best IT & Telecom Company in Taiwan and won the National Quality Award building strong Motorola presence amongst Taiwan customers, suppliers and government officials. Mr. Sun also spearheaded the initiatives to establish a Product Development Center and Taiwan Technology Center while leading Motorola University in Asia Pacific. Prior to this, Mr. Sun was based in Beijing responsible for business operations in China. His prior positions include Sector Manager of Communications Sector, Asset Management Director of the Land Mobile Product Sector, Chairman and President of Motorola Electronics Taiwan Ltd.
 
Joe Liu
Mr. Liu has over 20 years of successful experience in management and investment in the semiconductor, communications, and optical components industries. He is the Founder and Chairman of Techlink Equipment and Technology Corp, one of the largest front-end semiconductor fabrication equipment refurbishment companies in Silicon Valley since 1985. Mr. Liu and Chieh Chang started Techlink Technology Private Venture in 1995, and together engaged in many successful semiconductor venture projects, including ISSI, Galventek, SIS, MOSEL, PMC/PMT, and Advance Array. Among his other successful communications and software ventures are Oplink Communications, Vertex Networks, Syscan, eBest, InterVideo, and MediaView. Mr. Liu seeded the Oplink Communications (OPLK) team in 1995, took on the CEO role for Oplink in late 1999, and took Oplink public (NASDAQ) in Oct. 2000. Mr. Liu later became the Chairman of Oplink in Nov. 2001. He serves on the board of directors of Syscan, a Hong Kong (GEM) listed scanner and sensor company. Mr. Liu is also a board member of Intervideo, a U.S. software company.
